Regulation & Inspection


Beech Lawn Nursing and Residential Home is registered by the Care Quality Commission ( CQC ).  The home is regularly inspected by CQC to ensure the quality of our Care is compliant with the National Standards.

The current National Standard is ‘The Health and Social Care Act 2008 ‘( Regulated Activities 2009 and 2010 )

There are a number of publications that the CQC produce that assist in the assessment of Care.  ‘Essential Standards of Quality and Safety’ details out the outcome and Regulations that are inspected taken from the Act 2008. Click on the link below to access this publication on-line.

At Beech Lawn Nursing and Residential Home we care for people Nursing and Dementia Care towards the end of their lives.  We make assessments of all our clients to ensure we are compliant with the Deprivation of Liberty Act and The Mental Capacity Act 2005.

The home is also inspected on a regular basis by Environmental Health for Food Hygiene and Health and Safety and Cornwall Fire Service for Fire Safety.  All Electricals and Water are regularly tested.
