Beech Lawn Nursing and Residential Home is to be found in the Cornish Market Town of Liskeard, which is located in East Cornwall approximately 15 miles to the West of Plymouth. The town and home are easily accessible from the main trunk roads into Cornwall, the A30 and A38.

The home is centrally positioned in the town only a short walking distance from the town centre and shops but still enjoys a quiet and peaceful location. More mobile Clients enjoy the short walk into town.

The initial house dates back to the 1700’s and in more recent years has been extended to provide further accommodation to the rear, the latest addition being built in 2007 providing more bedrooms, lounges and a new kitchen. The main house is built of local stone and is now a registered Listed Grade II Building. Previous history of the property can be viewed in the entrance hallway showing the well and stone walls of the front garden, now covered for safety reasons.

Initially Beech Lawn was probably a farmhouse/private dwelling for most of its life before being converted and extended for use as a Residential Home. In recent years due to the demand for Nursing Beds it has become predominately Nursing provision and the Residential diminished. Beech Lawn is the only Nursing Home in Liskeard with the nearest being some 10 miles away.
